Divan Base

Made from study timber, the Firm Edge Sprung Divan base has an open coil spring unit fitted to it's top to give your mattress a more luxurious feel and increase its breathability. The spring unit is housed within a wooden frame, that runs around the edge of the base. This firm edge helps prevent 'roll off' when you're on the edge of the bed.

The base can be upholstered in a wide range of sumptuous fabrics. Click the 'Options' tab to view the different fabrics. Every base is finished with high-quality silver castors.

Various drawer options are available to increase the storage space in your bedroom. All drawers are fitted on ball-bearing runners for smooth operation and can hold a weight limit of 15kg.

Tufted describes a construction method used in some mattresses. Towards the end of the manufacturing process, the entire mattress construction is squeezed together, while thin rods are inserted to permanently hold the mattress under tension. (These are typically held in place by small thin pieces of white plastic, often visible on the outside of the mattress along with their characteristic 'dimples').

The result is that tufted mattresses are firmer.
